No. 617.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. ERNEST MANNING HAZELAND to be a Member of the Authorized Architects Consulting Committee, vice Mr. ALEXANDER COLBOURNE LITTLE, resigned.

NOTICE.

Order under section 75 (8) of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 15 of 1935, made by the Governor on the 15th day of July, 1936.

WHEREAS I, SIR ANDREW CALDECOTT, Knight Bachelor, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Governor and Commander-in- Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, deem it expedient for the execution of a public purpose to remove all remains in So Kon Po Urning Cemetery, which was closed by order of His Excellency the Governor in Council under section 90 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, Ordinance No. 1 of 1903, and published in Government Gazette of 8th December, 1933, NOW, I, by this Order under my hand, by virtue of the power in that behalf vested in me by section 75 (8) of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, and all other powers thereto me enabling DO HEREBY ORDER AND DIRECT that the said remains be removed to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works by the Urban Council and that the remains removed shall be re-interred or disposed of in such manner as the Secretary for Chinese Affairs in consultation with the Chairman of the Urban Council and the Board of Direction of the Tung Wah Hospital shall think fit and that all reasonable expenses in connection with such removal, re- interment and disposal shall be defrayed out of the public revenue of the Colony.
